It's better to give than to receive.

THIS IS WHAT WE GET FOR NOT TAKING CARE OF OUR ENVIRONMENT
and i guess everbody has learned their lesson.

As we all know, our weather is going ga-ga lately. Text messages circulating about a cloudburst or a tornado have been spreading which are partly false. I don't really know what's gotten into the minds of the people making up those false text messages. BUT I do know that whatever that thing we call a cloudburst or a tornado is, it's leaving a great damage to our province and city.

Flash floods, Landslides, Damaged households, Missing people...
What a perfect way to start 2009! -.-'

Since Christmas time and New Year is over. It's high-time we give what we receive (not to be taken literally hehe :)). But to think that we've received tons of gifts, now is our opportunity to share our blessings.

Don't just sit there, reading this blog and mourning those who have suffered. Instead of wasting your time trying to feel sad and all, might as well use that time to search for stuff that's not gonna benefit you anymore but can benefit others. Dump those expired lipsticks, mascaras, etc. because those flood victims are in no way concerned of what they look like anymore. THEY NEED CLOTHING & MOST ESPECIALLY FOOD. ANYTHING THAT BENEFITS THEM.

You can give these goods at the designated evacuation areas or barangay halls.
The Philippine Nurses Association also accepts relief goods. They are situated near The Barn, Carmen; Ultra Pi Water refilling station; AMWSLAI.
Or you can give it to ABS-CBN. But I don't really know the details about it. Might as well ask.

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! :)) and God Bless.

Of Development and Change.

Out of the 8 Millennium Development Goals, what I feel the most is Goal #1 which is to eradicate extreme poverty and hunger. During the discussions of the goals, Goal #1 is more or less mentioned in all of the MDGs.

In our world right now, poverty and hunger is prevalent. We should act upon this immediately. This is a crucial problem in a sense that this might be the root cause of all the problems we are experiencing.

To help lessen or eradicate this problem, we should conserve our resources in any possible way. May it be water, food, etc. We should learn to conserve. Never waste anything. If you decide to waste something, then maybe you should think about the people who are suffering poverty and hunger. Think twice.

"Development is a process in which there is a change for the better."

Communication: a two-way process

Communication is a two-way process in which individuals are able to understand each other.

From what I learned from my previous course, Communication has 5 elements.
The sender, the message, the receiver, the feedback and the channel of communication. Without these elements, communication has no use at all.

But most importantly, communication cannot be effective without a feedback. That's why it's called a two-way process because after the sender sends the message, the receiver should be able to interpret it by means of feedback. :)
